My values

The translator shall work only into his/her mother tongue, the language of his/her culture, or the one in which he/she has a proven equivalent competence.

This is the Art. 10 of the "Code of Ethics and Conduct" of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters. I fully agree. Any non-mothertongue translated work should be revised and proofread by a professional native speaker. Thanks to my association network, I am able to identify professionals with proven competence for the various language requests which include, but are not limited to, revision, website error-correction, generation of technical glossaries, dubbing, and consultancy for the target market.

Services

I work mainly with Italian, English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). I am based in Milan and Turin but am available to travel (car owner with Driving Licence category B) to any specific location requested by the client for interpreting assignments.

A profound knowledge of languages, use of professional CAT tools, constant commitment and keeping up-to-date with the regulations relating to the translation and interpreting sectors: these are essential elements in the high-quality services I can provide.

    • Certified translation: a letter signed by the appointed translator certifying the conformity to the original which is attached to the translated text

    • Sworn translation: the oath that the translator takes at the Registry, the Judicial Official, the Justice of the Peace, or before the Notary, assuming criminal and civil responsibility for what has been translated, by signing an oath report

    • Legalization: the Authority's signature is legalized at the Prefecture or Public Prosecutor's Office

    • Other translation services: legal, notary, commercial, mechanical, fashion, tourism, gastronomy, documents relating to family kinship, income statement and assets

    • I provide consecutive and conference interpreting services for private companies, public institutions or individuals, in the commercial, healthcare, industrial and law fields

    • Commercial simultaneous and/or whispered interpreting service (eg. retail training courses)

    • Online meetings and telephone assistance

    • Accompanying interpretation for delegation visits

    • Cultural mediation service

    • Brand naming and localization

In 2008 I obtained a four-year degree in Translation (English) at the University of Shenzhen; in 2014 a two-year Master's Degree in Translation (LM-94) at the University of Turin; and in 2020, the II level Master's in Migration Law at the University of Bergamo. Having operated on the market for over a decade, I am more than experienced and specialized in various translation fields.
